Paul Michael Mercurio
Paul, age 20, left his home in Bardonia, New York after thanksgiving dinner on November 24th, 1978.
His vehicle was never located, a gray 1966 Buick Estate station wagon bearing NY Reg. 761-FMX VIN 444656H320360. It has also not been registered or impounded in any state since the date he went missing.
Paul related to a friend the day before he went missing that they would be reading about him in the paper the next day.
A Facebook group for his graduating class from Clarkstown South High School contains mentions of Paul; who appeared to have had many friends. One described him as having some “very deep moments”. He played football in Highschool.
His parents are now deceased and his brother Steven is a well known classical music composer. He wrote a piece titled “For Lost Loved Ones” in memory of his brother. He does not believe that Paul just ran away, as he left his belongings behind, and had money in the bank which was left untouched. He described the car Paul was driving as a piece of junk.
Today he would be 66 years old. He is 5’10 – 5’11 ft tall, white, was 160-170 pounds and had long brown hair and brown eyes. He had a scar on his chin. At the time of his disapperance, he was wearing a gray zipper sweatshirt, blue jeans, and size 11 sneakers.
